I started my career in healthcare in 2004. I began nursing as a CNA while in school and working to pass nursing boards. Once I graduated nursing school and passed boards, in 2004, I initially worked as a medical/surgical nurse. After about 4 years I chose to expand my knowledge and transitioned to a wound care nurse as a local rehabilitation facility. After this I continued to expand my knowledge with school health and pediatric nursing. While working as a school health nurse I returned to school for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. In 2010 I transitioned to the emergency room at a local hospital where I worked for just over 5 years. While working the ER I decided to go back to school and get my Master of Science in Nursing and sit for my boards as Family Nurse Practitioner. I have since worked as a Family nurse Practitioner at Main Street Medical Center. I love seeing patients and getting to know people in the primary care setting.
